GDPR Settings

Overview

The GDPR Settings allow you to manage data retention and anonymisation rules for your account and its sub-accounts. By setting specific timeframes, you can ensure personal data is anonymised after the specified period, meeting GDPR compliance requirements.

Configuring GDPR Settings

Step 1: Select Data Anonymisation Timeframe

Choose the period after which data will be anonymised:

  • 0–6 Years: Data will be anonymised after the selected number of years.
  • 0–11 Months: Data will be anonymised after the selected number of months.

Note: Data older than 01/02/2019 will automatically be anonymised based on your selected settings.

Step 2: Apply Settings to Child Accounts

  • Enable "Apply to All Child Accounts":
    • When this option is turned on, the selected GDPR settings will automatically apply to all sub-accounts associated with this account.
  • Leave Disabled:
    • If you prefer to configure GDPR settings for each sub-account individually, leave this option turned off.

Step 3: Review Data Cleansing Status

The dashboard displays the date when data was last cleansed, allowing you to monitor the application of GDPR settings and ensure compliance.

Step 4: Save Changes

After configuring your GDPR settings:

  1. Click the Save button to apply your preferences.
  2. Confirm that the changes have been successfully implemented.

Key Features

  • Customisable Anonymisation Timeframes: Tailor data retention periods to match your business and regulatory requirements.
  • Child Account Control: Simplify compliance management by applying consistent settings across all sub-accounts, or manage sub-accounts individually for greater flexibility.
  • Real-Time Updates: Track the last data cleansing date to verify adherence to GDPR policies.

Best Practices

  1. Review Retention Policies Regularly: Ensure that your anonymization settings align with evolving GDPR regulations and business needs.
  2. Centralise Management When Possible: Use the "Apply to All Child Accounts" option to maintain consistent compliance across multiple accounts.
  3. Communicate Updates: Inform team members of changes to GDPR settings to avoid discrepancies in data management practices.
