Overview

Feefo allows you to connect your Google Analytics account to monitor activity on Feefo-hosted pages. This integration provides comprehensive data on user interactions and helps you measure the performance of your Feefo-hosted content.

This article explains how to integrate Google Analytics with Feefo to track activity on your Feefo-hosted pages. By linking your Google Analytics account, you can gain valuable insights into user behaviour and engagement.

Setting Up Google Analytics

Step 1: Provide Your Google Tracking ID (Optional)

  • Enter your Google Tracking ID (e.g., UA-XXXXXXXXX-X or G-XXXXXXXXXX) into the appropriate field in the Feefo settings.
  • Your Google Tracking ID allows Feefo to send data directly to your Google Analytics account.

Step 2: Add Additional Tracked Domains (Optional)

  • By default, Feefo will auto-link your analytics tag to your website domain.
  • If you track additional domains in your Google Analytics account, list those domains in the Additional Tracked Domains field.
    • Example: If you track both example.com and example2.com, ensure both domains are added.

Step 3: Implement Cross-Domain Tracking

To ensure sessions on Feefo's website are accurately tracked within your Google Analytics account, you must implement cross-domain tracking on your website(s).

Why Cross-Domain Tracking Is Important

Without cross-domain tracking, user sessions may be treated as separate visits when they navigate between your website and Feefo-hosted pages, leading to inaccurate data.

How to Implement Cross-Domain Tracking

Best Practices

  • Verify Tracking: After setting up, verify that your Google Analytics account is capturing data from Feefo-hosted pages.
  • Enable Debugging: Use tools like Google Tag Assistant or the Real-Time view in Google Analytics to confirm that the integration is working correctly.
  • Maintain Consistency: Ensure the same Google Analytics property is used across your domains for unified reporting.
