      Settings Management

      Accessing Settings

      To manage and configure the settings for your Feefo Community, follow these steps:

      1. Click your avatar in the top navigation panel.
      2. Select Control Panel from the dropdown menu.
      3. Click Settings.

      In the Settings window, you can manage various platform configurations, including general settings, ranks, custom ranks, restrictions, and iframe settings.

      General Settings

      In the General Settings section, you can change the platform name. The platform name is displayed across your community and should be short, memorable, and distinct from your brand name.

      Example:
      If your brand name is XYZ, your platform name could be XYZ Community. This helps differentiate between the brand and the platform.

      Ranks

      Ranks are badges that appear next to users' usernames in discussions. You can manage these ranks in this section.

      Default Ranks:

      • Administration
      • Moderator
      • Author
      • Trusted Member

      You can also create custom ranks for your community.

      Creating and Editing Ranks:

      1. To edit an existing rank, click the edit icon next to the rank name.
      2. To create a new custom rank, click the +Create Custom Rank button.

      In the pop-up window, you can:

      • Enter a name for the rank (up to 80 characters).
      • Choose the rank style: Select from "Basic" or "Badge" using the dropdown.
      • Add an image for the rank: Supported formats include JPG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, HEIC, HEIF, AVIF, and WEBP. The image file size must be less than 10MB.
      • Set light and dark theme colours: Use hex values to customise colours and adjust hue, saturation, and lightness.

      Once done, click Enable to activate the rank immediately and then click Save.

      You can then assign the new rank to users via the User List.

      Restrictions

      Restricted Words:

      Your community can have a list of restricted words that prevent certain language or content from being used. You can add new words to this list.

      • Submit words: Enter each word, pressing Enter after each submission.
      • You can use wildcards like * (dot asterisk) to match variations of words. However, be careful when using wildcards, as they may match unintended terms.
        For example, s*ck will match suck, but also sock and sack.
      • Words must be at least 3 characters in length.

      Restricted URLs:

      You can also restrict certain websites from being linked to in your community.

      • Submit URLs: Enter each URL, pressing Enter after each submission.

      Iframe Settings

      If you need to embed your Feefo Community platform within an iframe on another website, you can configure the iframe settings here.

      Iframe Domains:

      In this section, you can define the allowed iframe domains that will enable communication between your platform and the parent website.

      By managing these settings, you can ensure that your community remains aligned with your organisation’s rules, branding, and operational needs.
