      Highlighted Topic Widget

      Introduction


      Feefo offers a range of powerful widgets designed to enhance the customer experience and drive conversions. Among these widgets are the premium purchased items Highlighted Topics and Highlighted Snippets, both of which provide valuable insights into trending themes and positive review snippets. In this knowledge base article, we will explore how to install, customise, and manage these widgets to optimise their impact on your website.



      How to Install a Highlighted Topics Widget 


      To begin, log in to the Feefo Hub and navigate to the Widget Gallery under 'Marketing > Widget Gallery.' Follow these steps to install the Highlighted Topics widget:

      1. Select ‘Highlighted Topics’  from the available options.
      2. On the ‘Create New Widget’ page, start by giving your widget a unique name (you will not be able to save your widget without a name) 
      3. Choose the type of reviews you want the widget to display: 
        • Service  
        • All products (Filter by ‘Google Product Category’ or ‘Sales Tags’) 
        • Single product (Filter by ‘Sales Tags’)
      4. Preview and adjust settings like the number of topics and sentiment using the slider.
      5. Select the number of topics you want to display 
      6. Adjust the positive or negative sentiment for the reviews using the slider 
      7. Click ‘Save settings’  
      8. Once you’ve saved your widget, click the ‘Installation Guide’ button to generate your unique HTML codes needed to embed the widget onto your website 
      9. Copy the Topics Script and paste it in your website's HTML code in the <head> element on the page you would like the widget to appear on. 
      10. You also have to add the Integration Code below to the <body> element of the HTML on the page and in the location where you want the widget to appear.

      Customising Your Highlighted Topics Widget


      Use the 'customise' menu in the widget editor to further customise your Highlighted Topics widget: 

      • Alignment and padding 
      • Displaying the number of reviews and the Feefo logo 
      • Background and borders 
      • Title of the widget 
      • Font type, size and colour 
      • Background colour and border radius  

      Managing Your Dynamic Topic Widgets


      Once you have created and saved your Highlighted Topics and Snippets widgets, you can manage them through the widget menu. 


      From the widget menu you can: 

      • Switch on and off the visibility of your widgets 
      • Click into and edit each individual widget 
      • Create new widgets

       

      Adding Dynamic Topics to Your Account


      If you don't have Smart Themes as part of your Feefo package, you can request a call back or reach out to your Customer Success Manager or the Support team to add this feature to your account.
